On June 28th, 2012 the PWFD conducted training on a residential building scheduled to be torn down in the near future. The building was filled with artifical smoke to simulate fire conditions. Sometime after midnight on the morning of June 26, 2012, a single vehicle veered off the road hitting a guardrail and tree. The PWFD rescued the driver, the sole occupant, and transported the individual to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Photos have been digitally altered.

At 17:56 on December 22, 2011 the Port Washington Fire Department received a signal 8 alarm for a truck fire. Responding units found a fully involved landscaping truck. The fire was quickly brought under control. The cause of fire was determined to electrical in nature originating in the engine compartment.
