At around 3 p.m. on December 31st, 2012, the Port Washington Fire Department responded to a working house fire in the Village of Sands Point. On the afternoon of July 30th, 2012 the PWFD responded to a house fire. The fire was quickly knocked down and a dog was rescued from the building. Mutual aid was provided by the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department.
