The PWFD Junior Fire Department is open to teens, both boys and girls, 13-17 years old.

Junior Fire Department members meet monthly to learn about firefighting and emergency medicine. The PWFD Juniors program is run by experienced PWFD members and is part of the Nassau County Junior Firefighters Association.

Once Junior members turn 17 they are eligible to join one of the PWFD’s four companies. The Juniors program has been providing enthusiastic members to the PWFD for over 10 years and is one of the best ways for teens to get involved in their community.
